NR (Nicotinamide Riboside)
Also known as: Niagen, nicotinamide riboside, NR
Recommended Dosage
300–1000 mg
Nicotinamide Riboside (NR) is a form of vitamin B3 that serves as a precursor to NAD+, the critical coenzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, DNA repair, and sirtuin activation. Clinical trials confirm that NR supplementation (300-1000mg/day) reliably increases NAD+ levels in humans. While animal studies show promising anti-aging effects, human longevity data is still emerging. NR is generally better tolerated than niacin, without the flushing side effect.
TL;DR: NAD+ precursor with strong human RCT evidence for NAD+ elevation. Unique cardiovascular benefits: reduced arterial stiffness and blood pressure.

Important Notes
- Niagen (Chromadex) is most clinically studied form
- Headache, flushing, nausea uncommon at higher doses
- Often combined with TMG/resveratrol
